Havoc Drop Points Against Rivals

With their spot at the top of the division on the line, Havoc found themselves against Former Glory last Tuesday night for their Round 12 fixture. Oakleigh's recent results suggested a tight contest after a slight dip in form with a 1-1 draw in their previous match in Round 10 (which was followed by a bye round last week).

Match Summary

The match did not get off to a good start for Havoc. The team seemed to struggle defensively as Glory utilised long passes to initiate their attacks. Mistakes were punished severely as Havoc found themselves 1-0 behind quickly in the first half. A striking half-volley from D. Kim soon after, set up by J. Winn, put Oakleigh back on level terms.

Glory continued their long pass attacks successfully and found themselves 3-1 up at half-time much to Havoc's frustrations. The second half did no favours for the Reds either. Despite attacking well, the finishing touches were not present. Their opponents found ease in counter-attacking - adding another two goals to close the gap between the top three sides of the division. D. Kim ended the game with a double, adding a consolation from a deflected corner to ease Oakleigh's frustrations.

The result puts Havoc down the table to 2nd, trailing division leaders Kipsta FC by one point and ahead of the Former Glory (3rd) by three points.

Havoc's next game is against Jaguars at GESAC Court 3 with kick-off at 8:10pm.
