Club Origins

Although the club was formed in March 2016, the origins of the club can be tracked back to 2012 with the formation of an indoor soccer side at Moorabbin Indoor Sports known as 'Oakleigh Mustangs'. The team consisted of a group of friends from Salesian College Chadstone, some with previous experience in football(soccer) and some with no experience at all. Not many results went the way of the 'Mustangs' side, who played a total of two seasons as an indoor team before changing names to "Reds United" and switching to futsal.

The side went on to play at Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) winning the Division 3B Grand Final in their first season. In 2015, the side formed a second team known as Havoc City, to join Reds United as part of the newly created Reds United Futsal Group. The two teams would go on to face each other a number of times in GESAC's third division, including a memorable semi-final, before disbanding in early 2016 to establish Oakleigh Havoc Futsal Club.

Club Badge

The club's origins are still recognised today through the club's name and badge. The red and blue stripes of the badge are reference to the colours of Reds United and Havoc City who wore red shirts and blue shirts respectively. Similarly, the 'pitchfork' in the middle of the badge and the black background takes inspiration from the Reds United Futsal Group logo which pictured a devil in front of a black diamond-shaped badge.
