Round 6 of the season saw the Reds take on a young Jaguars side who had proven to be quite the challenge for other teams in the division. Oakleigh were chasing top spot whilst their opponents were aiming to remain part of the mid-table chasing pack.
Match Summary
The match was an end-to-end contest, consisting of long-throws from both sides' keepers and quick counter attacks from Havoc. Some brilliant passing play allowed S. Rogers to score his fifth goal of the season and give the Oakleigh boys a deserved lead.
Havoc, however, had defensive troubles in the minutes following the opening goal. A miscommunication at the back allowed Jaguars to convert from a long-range pass and equalize going into the break.
The second half was a scrappy affair as both sides created plenty of chances but lacked the finishing touches. Havoc dominated possession, switching play to create space in behind the Jaguars' defence. A quick passing move from the back, however, saw the ball fall to M. Watkins who set up J. Rowe for the winning goal in a 2-1 win for the Havoc.
With another win under the belt, Havoc find themselves in 2nd place on the table, 2 points behind Kipsta FC.
