On the back of a solid win against Donald United last week, Havoc impressed once again with another dominant attacking display this time against Santos. Showing great composure on the ball, the side used possession effectively and conjured up another fantastic performance to remain top of the table and increase their lead.
Oakleigh got off to a fast start in their Week 8 match. A double from Jonah Caruana in the opening two minutes completely shifted the run of play in favour of Havoc. Their attacking momentum continued throughout the first half with Jon Tamvakis adding the team's third before Josh Henderson ended the first half with a hat-trick to give his side a 6-0 lead at half-time.
The second half was no different as Oakleigh continued their attack. Jonah Caruana scored twice within a minute to give Havoc an 8-0 advantage. A lapse in concentration though, gave Santos a consolation goal midway through the half before Tamvakis and J. Caruana added a combined total of four goals to ensure a dominant 12-1 victory for their team.
Oakleigh remains top of the table and increases its lead over second-place to 9 points. The side take on Brothers United next Thursday at 8:20pm.
