The Men's First Team continued its winning ways last Thursday night with another top performance against Donald United. The team showcased their pace and passing skills to secure another week at the top of the league table.

Oakleigh Havoc FC made five changes to their line-up from last week. Jon Tamvakis and Michael Watkins were included with the returning Justin D'Souza while Sam Rogers and Nav Srivastava were ruled out with injury.

The majority of the match played out in Oakleigh's favour. The first half saw Havoc dominate possession of the ball. The side used the ball efficiently in attack, passing down the flanks of the court to create scoring chances. Despite some early misfires, Oakleigh eventually scored with goals to D'Souza and Jonah Caruana.

Havoc continued its positive play with a goal to Jake Winn adding to the team's tally. Donald United retaliated with a couple of goals before scoring into their own net to end the half 4-2 down.

United remained two goals behind Oakleigh throughout the second half. Havoc continued to find success in their attacking playing style, however, failed to keep a stronghold in defence. A goal each from Winn and J. Caruana, both scoring their second of the night, were followed up on the other end with goals from Donald United. Two more goals from D'Souza completed his hat-trick but did little to settle United's attacking efforts.

With scores locked at 8-6, Donald United mounted their pressure in Havoc's defensive third. Oakleigh held well defensively though and scored two goals through Josh Henderson after two consecutive counter-attacks to finish the match comfortably as 10-6 winners.

The Men's First Team's next match will be on Thursday 1st December against Santos at South Oakleigh College with kick-off currently scheduled at 7:40pm.
